Hematologic diseases afflict millions of Europeans each year. The European Hematology Association (EHA), located in the heart of The Hague (Netherlands), is a non-profit professional association serving clinicians and researchers with an active interest in hematology in Europe and beyond. Our mission is to promote excellence in patient care through education, research and advocacy.

Hematology is constantly changing. We help our members stay current by delivering a structured educational program created by hematologists for hematologists. We offer a range of career development programs to help clinicians and researchers grow professionally and personally. We also advocate for hematologists and hematology at local and international levels.

As a Student Intern – CR & Sponsorship Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting sponsorship activities, market research, and relationship management. This is an excellent opportunity to learn, grow, and make a real difference while working alongside experienced professionals. 
 

During the internship you will: 

  • Conduct research on the regulatory and compliance landscape in Europe for sponsors. 

  • Map prospective sponsors, analyze product portfolios, compliance status, and engagement history. 

  • Support compliance checks and alignment with external regulations and industry codes. 

  • Assist in CRM development and setup as needed. 

  • Coordinate administration and processing of sponsorship proposals and agreements. 

  • Organize logistical arrangements for sponsorship activities and meetings, including follow-up. 

  • Act as internal coordination support for sponsor inquiries, ensuring timely communication. 

  • Contribute to reporting and performance analysis of sponsorship programs. 

  • Collaborate with marketing and internal departments to ensure sponsor visibility and contractual delivery.

Job requirements

  • Only candidates who are registered at an Educational Institute and live in the Netherlands will be considered. If you are a non-EU/EEA national, a valid work permit for the Netherlands is required.

  • Employment will be subject to the dissolving condition that the employee provides the employer with a valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG) within eight weeks of the commencement date of their employment. 

  • Availability to join us for 5 up to 7 months (to be discussed).  

Specific requirements for this internship

Education: HBO-level studies in Business Administration, Marketing, Corporate Relations, Stakeholder Management, Healthcare Management (business focus). 

Status: Currently enrolled student (final-year preferred). 

Skills:  

  • Strong written and verbal communication. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 

  • Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce/Emma Membership) and project management platforms (Monday.com/Teams) will be an advantage, but not essential. 

  • Data analysis skills (Excel, PowerBI). 

  • High attention to detail, multitasking ability, and collaborative mindset. 

  • Proactive attitude and enthusiasm for learning. 

Knowledge:

  • Principles of customer care and stakeholder engagement. 

  • Basic understanding of business development, sponsorship, and marketing.
