This temporary role acts as a navigational aid within the network of hematology stakeholders. This role will provide support to ensure projects run smoothly whilst the permanent officer is absent.

Job description

As an Engagement Officer (temporary role) at EHA, you will coordinate and provide logistical, operational and administrative assistance to the Engagement team for stakeholder engagement activities. This is crucial for facilitating collaboration and supporting opportunities aimed at fostering knowledge, experiences, and ideas among hematology stakeholders. 

The role focuses on aiding external stakeholders including National and Sibling Societies (NS/SS) and Patient Advocacy Groups. The position operates within an international environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of action plans linked to the strategy for key hematology stakeholders.

  • Help promote harmonization by working with external stakeholders to aid collaborations and projects in hematology across Europe and beyond.  

  • Assist in advancing EHA's mission by fostering a stronger voice for hematology professionals and patient advocates.  

Coordination, administration and support tasks (not limited to):

  • Coordination of logistics and administrative tasks for meetings, workshops, and conferences held between EHA and external stakeholders. 

  • Provide operational and administrative support to all stakeholders. 

  • Assist in preparing and updating stakeholder contact lists and engagement trackers linked to the CRM. 

Relationship and project support: 

  • Maintain and organize data and documentation related to joint projects, Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), and event participation. 

  • Provide logistical support for stakeholder events and congress-related activities. 

  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g., Membership, Specialized Working Groups, Communications) to ensure alignment on stakeholder-related initiatives.

Job requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years working experience in an international environment

  • A Bachelor’s degree

  • Project management knowledge

  • Time management, planning, and execution

  • The ability to coordinate, liaise, and plan seamlessly across multiple projects, and tasks

  • Knowledge of key stakeholders in the field of hematology (patients, national societies, clinicains, etc.) is an advantage

  • Only candidates residing in the Netherlands will be considered.

  • Non-EU/EEA nationals must possess a valid work permit for the Netherlands.

  • Employment will be subject to the dissolving condition that the employee provides the employer with a valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG) within eight weeks of the commencement date of their employment.
