Hematologic diseases afflict millions of Europeans each year. The European Hematology Association (EHA), located in the heart of The Hague (Netherlands), is a non-profit professional association serving clinicians and researchers with an active interest in hematology in Europe and beyond. Our mission is to promote excellence in patient care through education, research and advocacy.

Hematology is constantly changing. We help our members stay current by delivering a structured educational program created by hematologists for hematologists. We offer a range of career development programs to help clinicians and researchers grow professionally and personally. We also advocate for hematologists and hematology at local and international levels.

Are you looking for an internship opportunity where you will contribute to the biggest hematology Congress in Europe?

During the internship you will be:

  • Maintaining and updating program-related files and documentation and creating statistical overviews (data management) 

  • Preparing and sending formal invitation and confirmation letters to experts (communication)

  • Compiling and formatting data/reports to support program planning and evaluation (proactive behavior)

  • Maintaining high-value data files with precision and confidentiality (accuracy)

During the internship you will gain:

Job requirements

  • Only candidates who are registered at an Educational Institute and live in the Netherlands will be considered. If you are a non-EU/EEA national, a valid work permit for the Netherlands is required.

  • Employment will be subject to the dissolving condition that the employee provides the employer with a valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG) within eight weeks of the commencement date of their employment. 

  • Availability to join us for 5 up to 7 months (to be discussed).  

Specific requirements for this internship

  • Studying for a MBO (diploma), HBO (bachelor degree) or Master in Management, Public or Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Social Sciences, Health Management or similar.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Open to be trained on specific processes

  • Accuracy

  • Data management

  • Proactive attitude

  • Affinity with (basic) statistics
