Job description

As an Engagement Support Intern, you will support the Engagement team with administrative, logistical and operational tasks related to stakeholder engagement activities. The internship will contribute to the smooth coordination of activities with external stakeholders, including National and Sibling Societies, Patient Advocacy Groups, and other hematology partners.

During this internship, you will:

  • Support the preparation and coordination of meetings, workshops, stakeholder calls, and congress-related activities.

  • Assist with updating stakeholder contact lists, engagement trackers and CRM-related information.

  • Help organize documentation linked to joint projects, Memorandums of Understanding, event participation, and follow-up actions.

  • Provide administrative support for communication with external stakeholders and internal teams such as Membership, Specialized Working Groups, and Communications.

  • Assist with practical logistics, scheduling, document preparation, and file organization for ongoing Engagement team projects.

  • The intern will gain experience in international stakeholder engagement, project coordination, and administrative support within a professional association working in the field of hematology.

Job requirements

  • Only candidates who are registered at an educational institute and reside in the Netherlands will be considered. If you are a non‑EU/EEA national, a valid work permit for the Netherlands is required.

  • Employment is subject to the condition that the employee provides the employer with a valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG) within eight weeks of the employment start date.

  • Available to join us for min. 6 months (start date to be discussed).

Specific requirements for this internship

  • Interest in stakeholder engagement, international collaboration, or health-related associations.

  • Basic understanding of project coordination, planning and meeting support.

  • Affinity with healthcare, hematology, patient advocacy, or medical/scientific societies is an advantage.

  • Awareness of data accuracy and confidentiality when handling contact lists, CRM information, and stakeholder documentation.

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.

  • Accurate and detail-oriented way of working.

  • Good written and spoken English; additional European languages are an advantage.

  • Ability to coordinate practical tasks across multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office tools, shared files, and contact databases.

  • Professional communication style and ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
